TROUT FISHERY, STIRLINGSHIRE - AQUATIC WEED CLEARANCE
This large fishery contacted us to undertake aquatic weed clearance works as several lochs were severely suffering from an infestation of Canadian Pondweed. The weed was affecting fish quality and fishing catches which resulted in complaints from fishermen.
After a site visit to Stirlingshire, we effectively cleared large amounts of aquatic weed to restore the lochs to their optimum vegetation levels, and encouraging fish to thrive. The ability of the T-cutter and trailing knives to cut to a depth of up to 15 feet allowed us to tackle weed root systems on the bottom of the lochs.
We now maintain the fishery on an annual basis as our weed harvesting methods have been so successful.
